
President Trump’s remark the next Republican effort to repeal and replace ObamaCare will be an “easy one” came during a “lighthearted moment,” White House spokesman Sean Spicer said on Wednesday.”
“It had been a lighthearted moment. It was on tape. Trying to make it seem like he was utterly serious is a little a stretch,” Spicer told reporters in the daily press briefing.
At a White House reception on Tuesday evening, Trump said he was sure a deal on healthcare could be reached.
“That’s such an easy one. I've no doubt that that’s going to happen quickly. We have been promising it – Democrat, Republican – to the public,” the president said.
