Trump says ‘negotiation’ of recent health care bill is ongoing

President Trump said the newly released ObamaCare repeal and replace bill is up for “review and negotiation,” tempering his full-throated endorsement of the biggest bit of legislation to be introduced on Capitol Hill since he became president.

“Our wonderful new Healthcare Bill is now out for review and negotiation. ObamaCare is a complete and total disaster – is imploding fast!” Trump said inside a Tuesday tweet.

The tweet came as Trump's budget director, Mick Mulvaney, was carrying out a series of interviews promoting the new healthcare bill.

“The president is 100 % behind this. We’ve worked closely with the House. He's in on this, we are pushing this,” Mulvaney told “Fox & Friends” within an interview Tuesday morning.

But Mulvaney himself admitted the bill, that was presented Monday night, could “get better.”

“We will allow the process work,” Mulvaney said, under Twenty four hours after introduction from the legislation, which may affect nearly one-fifth of the entire US economy.
