NYers on Obamacare surges in 2021 despite Trump’s call to overhaul program

The quantity of New Yorkers who obtained health insurance coverage through ObamaCare for 2021 shot up 28 percent from a year ago — as President Trump looks to overhaul the program, officials announced Wednesday.

The Ny State Health Department reported that 3.63 million people subscribed to medical care coverage through its Affordable Care Act Exchange (NY State of Health) — an increase of 800,000.

A year ago, there have been 2,83 million.

The sign-up deadline was Tuesday — that was even the busiest day ever for brand new York's ObamaCare website.

Officials said hello registered nearly 3 million page views by a lot more than 110,000 users.

In addition, ObamaCare staffers fielded a lot more than 100,000 calls around the final day of open enrollment.

In the final two days, 45,807 people obtained coverage with the state ObamaCare Exchange.

About two-thirds of the 3.6 million of these enrolled — 2.42 million — qualified for Medicaid, the publicly funded health insurance program for the needy.
